People living in New York will agree, how much pain it is to travel by public transport. Sometimes you are actually scared of taking public transport because it is excessively crowded. Sadly, social media posts or online notifications don’t always tell you the true story. Therefore, you are forced to take chances just like the rest of the million New Yorkers. But this is soon going to change with Google’s new addition to Google maps. It is going to make our lives a little less stressful.

Google has recently introduced crowdedness predictions in Google Maps. This will help you to know how much crowded your train or bus will be. There is no need for you to do any guesswork anymore. Before you plan to take public transport, you can easily check whether it is going to be packed or not.

Google Maps posted on Twitter:

“Now you can see real-time delays and how crowded your bus is on your way to work.”

The company is going to launch live traffic delays for buses:

“in places where we don’t already have real-time information direct from local transit agencies.”

This will allow you to check if your bus is running late or how long it’s going to take it to arrive. Along with it, you will also get to know where the delays are occurring. Thus, you will know what exactly you are getting into.

This new feature from Google is going to prove helpful for all the people who are required to travel by public transport on a daily basis. With this feature, you no longer have to suffocate yourself in a crowded public transport on your way to the office.

The company has stated that both features have been rolling out in around 200 cities all around the world. It will be supported by both android and iOS platforms. If you wish to know more about this new feature by Google maps then you should check their fascinating blog post on the subject on their site.
