What seemed to be an as real-world photo of Google’s upcoming flagship phone Pixel 4 has now turned out to be a fan-made render? The picture was surfaced on Slashleaks.
However, it is a good thing as the design that we see in the picture is no way a stunner.
Right off the bat, you will notice that the bezel about the screen is thick and houses two front cameras. The bottom bezel or chin is a bit chunky too but not as much as the top.
The back of the Pixel 4 render shows a square bump for the camera and flash. This looks similar to what is expected to come with iPhone 11. However, it is still not clear how far this bump juts from the rest of the design.
You can also make out a volume rocker and power button on the right side of the mobile. In case, you have heard any rumors about a buttonless Pixel 4 would be bunk.
If you take a closer look at any other available premium phones such as OnePlus 7 Pro and its full-screen design it’s hard not to see this Pixel 4 render as dowdy. You may not have to deal with a pop-up camera or worry about breaking it over time.
Other smartphones like Xiaomi and Oppo are moving ahead with bezel-free phones which can hide the front camera under the display.
“That’s more of an elegant way of ditching the notch or forehead.”
Samsung is also known to work on something similar. However, it is not expected to be launched in time for the Galaxy Note 10.
With all honesty, this render is not at all impressive. We can only hope that what we see in the picture is all bunk and the original Pixel 4 is much better than this. But all we can do is wait and hope that the real phone turns out to better.
