YouTube soon to introduce new tools to customize your video recommendations

YouTube, as you already know is one of the largest video streaming sites in the world. There is no doubt that the site is filled with a huge variety of content. For any topic you search, there is some of the other content available on YouTube. But at the same time, the site also has a lot of unnecessary content that you don’t want to watch. The company has always tried to suggest you content you would want to watch. But today, the company announced to introduce more new features that will help you to customize your video recommendations.

English speaking users of YouTube’s Android app will be able to access button on their home screen and in up next videos which will allow them to narrow suggestions by channel and topic. The same feature will be available on desktop and iOS sometime later.

Starting today on iOS and Android, you will be able to stop getting video recommendations from specific channels by just tapping the three-dot menu under a thumbnail. All you need to do is click on the option ‘don’t recommend channel.’ For all this time, you could only make videos an uninteresting but this feature is definitely more useful. For desktop users, the feature will be made available a little later.

So, if you are tired of getting video recommendations that you don’t want to watch, this feature could actually help you stop them. This change has been introduced to enhance your YouTube experience. You will get to see blurbs explaining how YouTube’s algorithm has been changed so that you are able to enjoy your favorite videos. Mobile users can now take advantage of this feature and watch only what they want to watch. There is no need for you to browse through videos that don’t interest you.

Desktop users will have to wait a bit as the feature is yet to be launched for you guys. But now to worry as it won’t take long before you could use the option from your desktop as well.
